Two in trouble for alleged stealing

Two suspected house burglars have appeared before an Ilorin Magistrate Court on Monday, 1st of November, after they were apprehended by the men of Nigerian Police Force.

The suspects, Akin Oyedepo and Ahmed Olamilekan were brought before the court on offence bordering on theft.

According to the First Information Report, they both allegedly broke into the house of one Abraham Simeon at Oshin Agogo, Ilorin, and made away with items valued at One Million Four Hundred and Fifty thousand naira.

The report added that they and their accomplices carted away with one washing machine, complete cylinder with holes, two air conditions, one Plasma TV, one freezer, one fridge, one industrial fan, one gas cooker, one micro wave and several other valuable items.

According to the police charge sheet , the suspects conspired with one Bashir and Kehinde (a.k.a POS), both of whom are now at large to carry out the dastard act.

The Government Prosecutor, Adebayo Moshood, prayed the court not to grant bail application moved by the suspects counsel.

Magistrate O. A. Adeniyi, however obliged the state prosecutor by denying the bail plea of the defense counsel and ordered their remand in the Federal Correctional Service Centre, thereby adjourning the matter until 18th of this month for further mention.
