I started business with N250 – CEO Mufade Nig Ltd

The Chief Executive Officer of Mufade Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Ahmed Yellow a major dealer in engine oil in Ilorin, Kwara State has revealed that he started his business with a pittance.

According to him, his start up capital was N250.

He disclosed that he served as apprentice with his uncle for six years in Lagos before moving down to Kwara to start his own business.

The CEO said the passion to be self relaint made him to venture into the world of business.

He said, ” The guiding principle as a businessman is to give customers quality product and service. We don’t just target money from our customers but give them efficient service delivery.

Yellow stressed that risk and challenges are obvious elements in businesses, but said, “they are there to strengthen you and gain more experience after overcoming them.”

On one of the low moments, the CEO said his outlet was locked up and drums of oil confiscated by the Army in 1992 on the grounds that the business was against government policy, adding that he came out of the problem stronger

He advised the younger generation to be creative and hard working by embracing vocational and entrepreneurial skills as way forward considering the high rate of unemployment in the country.

The CEO also called on the government to assist entreprenuers with loans through their cooperative societies to expand their businesses in the state and beyond.
