Security: Gov Ahmed solicits stakeholders’ collaboration

 

Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has called on all stakeholders in the state to collaborate with the state government in maintaining peace and security.

The governor made the call on Tuesday when he met with stakeholders on crucial matters in the state.

He noted that it is incumbent on all citizens and stakeholders to be vigilant and ensure that criminals are apprehended before committing any crime.

Ahmed noted that clashes between farmers and herdsmen are major issues of social and security concern which all stakeholders need to tackle. He emphasised the need for community engagement, adherence to the rule of law and mutual understanding as steps towards ending the skirmishes.

Governor Ahmed however noted that the state has been able to adopt dialogue in promoting peaceful co-existence.

On infrastructure, Governor Ahmed noted that his administration is committed to ensuring development is even across the three Senatorial Districts of the state through the Infrastructure Development Fund (IFK) put in place.

He expressed optimism that with the funding window, infrastructure projects in the state will be carried out to desirable level.
