Ile Arugbo’s Land Revocation: Abdulrazaq should stop all these funny lies

By Babatunde Boladale

We have noted a document being circulated by agents of Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq showing a Letter or Allocation on Plots 1, 3 and 5 Ilofa Road, GRA, Ilorin, purportedly issued in response to application from Asa Investments, a company owned by Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki.
The aim of the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, who is the sponsor of the propaganda is to claim that though allocation letter for the plots was issued, no payment was made. First, we note that the Governor has shifted from the fact that there was no document concerning the allocation. One document had been produced by the sponsor of the initial lie to contradict himself. May be he and his agents should still check more. They may still found more relevant documents.
Second, a look at the document being circulated showed that Oloye was expected to pay a total of N1, 047, 090 (One Million, forty-seven thousand and ninety Naira) only for the land and that is what Abdulrahman said was not paid. The logical question that the sponsor of this document and those helping him to circulate it should ask themselves is: Is it possible that Oloye Olusola Saraki could not afford to pay that money or found it difficult to pay that money? How difficult could it be for a man who spent millions of Naira, on a daily basis, throughout a substantial part of his adult life sponsoring the education of many indigent students, providing social welfare for thousands of people in need, caring for the sick, contributing to community projects like building of schools, health centres, religious houses, town halls, sinking boreholes to provide potable water for the masses and other numerous projects that will benefit and uplift the people around Kwara State and the country to pay a little over one million  Naira for a property that he also used in serving the community?
The other question that should logically follow the one above is: Assuming without conceding that Oloye Saraki did not pay the money, is the issue of payment of a little over one million Naira the next most important thing for this government in Kwara State at this particular time? It is obvious that this money cannot be the motivation for Abdulrazaq seeking to abuse the legacy of Oloye Saraki. The rational explanation is that he is a Governor who does not want peace in the State. He believes in fomenting trouble and creating confusion. He does not care about peace, progress and development in the state. He thinks he should create confusion to divert attention from his inability to measure up to the high demands of the Office of Governor and keep his numerous promises to the people.
We will be watching Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as he stirs the hornet’s nest.
