Badmas task politicians on meritorious deeds

The Imam of Al-Hilal Crescent mosque, Offa road, GRA, Ilorin, Professor Lanre Badmas has charged Muslims especially politicians not to procrastinate meritorious act of worship that will positively Impact lives of the people.
He said this becomes necessary since nobody can be rest assured that be will witness tomorrow.
This was the thrust of his sermon (Khutba) during the Juma’at service shortly before the traditional two-unit congregation prayer.
Badmas therefore called on Muslims and those in political office of authority to live their lives as if they are going to die tomorrow adding that they should engaged in good deeds as Allah (SWT) and Prophet Muhammad (SAW) enjoined.
The imam noted that when Muslims and politicians make good actions their focus, they will have the opportunity to concentrate on Allah’s instruction and avoid been distracted by Shaytan.
Quoting copiously from the Glorious Qur’an and tradition of the Prophet (SAW), Professor Badmus said “If you found yourself alive in the morning, then live that period as if you will not witness next afternoon and if you are in the afternoon live as if you are not going to witness the next evening by focusing on good deeds.”
He further said the Prophet (SAW) charged us to prepare for the hereafter by doing good deeds in life because death has no period.
“Some politicians destroy their lives; kill other people because they want to become famous in life. According to the Prophet (SAW), we should tame our ambition, moderate it, so that we will not attract Allah’s wrath.
“So fear Allah in both public and privates and fear the day of judgement and safeguard your intellect. Be careful of what you consume in your stomach and shun Haram and all its rated act”, he added.
