Estate agents restructure to fight quackery in Kwara

The Estate Rents and Commission Agents Association of Nigeria (ERCAAN), Kwara State Branch, on Saturday elected new executives to run affairs of the association  for the next two years.
Speaking to Pilot Business, shortly after the election, the newly elected Chairman of the Association, Chief AbdulRasheed Balogun, said it is time to unify estate agents in the state under one umbrella.
He also added that the new leadership has the mandate to eradicate quackery among practitioners in the state.
“We are going to partner with all the security agencies in the state to put an end to  activities of quacks who are dubious in their activities,”he stressed.
The chairman also called for the support of members towards achieving goals of the association through the new executives.
On his part, the former National President of the association, Hon. Emmanuel Toyin Dare tasked the new executives to show commitment and dedication towards taking the association to higher pedestal, pointing out that the immediate past excos performed below expectation.
He said,”You must work with one another and introduce new policies that will uplift this association to greater heights.”
He also urged them to partner with government and security agencies in fighting the menace of quackery that has bedeviled the body.
Other elected members are: Vice Chairman, Ayeni David; Secretary, Omoba Adegoke Adeyemi; Coordinator, Shehu Dodo; Financial Secretary, Emmanuel Jolayemi; Auditor Olatunji Olasehinde; PRO, Wasiu Tunde and Welfare, Tope Olafeju.
Also elected are Assistant Secretary, Bakare Idris Kamaldeen; Assistant PRO, Daniel Lawal; Chief Whip, Olufemi Omosofe Omo Odofu and Chief J.B Fassan as Treasurer.
