Newspaper of the Year: Media Watch, KWACCIMA eulogise N’Pilot’s professionalism, dedication to duty

Commendations have continued to pour in for National Pilot newspaper following its declaration as The Newspaper of the Year by the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS) last Saturday.
Speaking on the honour in a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Ibrahim Abdullahi, the Media Watch Group of Nigeria (MMWG) described the award as well deserved and a testimony to the hard work and sense of professionalism of the medium.
The statement reads; “Members of the Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria (MMWG) have received with satisfaction your Best Newspaper of the Year Award by KWIRS.
“The award, which is well-deserved is a testimony of your hard work, dedication to duty and high sense of professionalism.
“We are proud of your achievements which include balanced reportage, focus on community development activities, political maturity in treating stories and constructive criticism on all issues,” the group said while urging the medium not to rest on its oars for more achievements and awards to come its way.
In a similar vein, the the Director-General Kwara Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KWACCIMA), Prince Ayo Fagbemi, applauded the management and staff of National Pilot newspaper for the award describing it as timely.
Speaking with our reporter in Ilorin on Saturday, the KWACCIMA D-G said, “I know your MD/Editor-in-Chief, Alhaji Billy Adedamola  to be a highly disciplined and experienced journalist.  Permit me to congratulate both the management and staff of the medium.”
