Dignitaries across the nooks and crannies of Nigeria are expected to throng the highly anticipated launching of the book “Nigeria’s Aborted 3rd Republic and the June 12 Debacle: Reporters’ Account”, which is billed to hold on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 in Abuja.
The epochal event which is going to take centre stage at the National Press Centre, Radio House, in the Federal capital territory, will start by 11am.
The event which is to be chaired by Otunba Segun Runsewe, the Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) is expected to play host to other dignitaries which include the Chairmen of the defunct SDP and NRC, Ambassador Baba Gana Kingibe and Chief Tom Ikimi, respectively.
Others are political actors of that era and serving Governors and Members of the National Assembly, including the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Mahmood Yakubu who is the Chief Guest of Honour.
The book is said to be an account of the political transition programme of the Ibrahim Babangida administration and the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election.
