Face masks for different skin types

 

There are so many face masks out there that have the potential to give your face the glow you desire.
There are a number of face masks you can make yourself and all you need do is tweak the components to suit the needs of your skin at every particular time, be it dry, oily or flaky without having to buy a ton of different products.
Honey-avocado mask for dry skin: To make this face mask, you need to have honey, avocado, olive oil and mango. The recipe requires 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of avocado, 2 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 mashed mango.
Mix all the ingredients; leave on your face for 15 minutes and then remove with a warm cloth.
This face mask works because Honey is good at hydrating without risking a breakout. Also, Avocado is loaded with omega-3 fatty acids and B vitamins, which are incredible for your lymphatic system and restoring the skin’s lipid layer.
The mashed mango helps brighten the skin, since it contains loads of vitamin C, while the olive oil softens it. Olive oil is also an anti-inflammatory that reverses the signs of sun damage.
Turmeric mask for all skins: This mask is best for all skins and the ingredients required include 1 tablespoon of organic Greek yogurt, 1 teaspoon of honey, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric and 1 teaspoon of aloe vera. Combine all the ingredients together and apply for 10 minutes.
This face mask has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory effects and is also super hydrating. Honey and aloe are natural antiseptics, great for keeping your skin clear. Turmeric has the anti-inflammatory property, and organic Greek yogurt will boost your skin’s hydration.
Matcha mask for oily skin: This face mask can be made with 1/4 cup cooked, plain oatmeal, 1/4 teaspoon matcha powder and 1/2 teaspoon of honey. Stir the ingredients together and then squeeze in fresh lemon juice, mixing until you get the right consistency for a mask.
Apply the mixture to clean skin for 10 minutes. Once the time is up, wet your hands and begin massaging skin to create a light exfoliation before rinsing.
This superfood has powerful antioxidants and may also help reduce your skin’s sebum production.
Potato turmeric mask for congested skin: The recipe for this consists of one grated white potato, one grated cucumber, a few drops of rose water and 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric. Blend the ingredients together and rinse after 10 minutes. Use a cloth to help make sure you get all the grated veggies off your face.
Potatoes are anti-inflammatory and have been applied to bruises and wounds for centuries. Cucumbers also have a great toning effect, are hydrating to the skin, and are rich in Vitamin C.
Coffee turmeric mask for dull skin: This can be made from 1 tablespoon of instant or ground coffee, 1 tablespoon of powdered turmeric and 1 tablespoon of Greek yogurt. Mix all the ingredients together and apply it all over your face, making sure to put it under the eye area as well. Leave the mask on for 20 minutes before removing it with a warm, damp towel.
Coffee contains caffeine which has antioxidants. Caffeine reduces inflammation, which includes puffy eyes, while the antioxidants will give a nice glow to the skin. Turmeric is full of brightening vitamin C and the yogurt is filled with lactic acid that smooths the skin.
