I started business with N500,000 – COO, Afro Asian Group of Companies

Dr. Mustapha Sammy Yaacob is the Chief Operating Officer of Afro Asian Group of Companies based in Lagos and Malaysia. The company is into trading, manufacturer’s representative, marketing, distribution, agriculture and farming, export and import, housing estate investment among others.
According to him, he had always wanted to be an enterprenuer right from his childhood days, which he nurtured to reality after his service year in 2005.
The young enterprenuer said the desire to be an employer of labour made him shun white collar job.
The COO revealed that he invested N500,000 as initial  capital for the business, adding that he attended seminars, read books, studied business relations to garner more ideas for expansion.
“My business philosophy/ideology has been self confidence, hard work, sincerity and commitment to render unique services to clients. This values have continue to make my business outstanding and attracts more customers.”
According to him, his investment is all about solving societal problems, saying,  “If you foresee a challenge and you rush into the opportunity of solving the problem, there is no way people will not appreciate you by patronising you.”
He, however, advised youth not to despise the days of little beginning, urging them to endeavour to groom idea of becoming entrepreneurs.
Yaacob then called on the Nigerian government to create opportunities for the agile youths to realise their potentials.
He added that the government should always push for international diplomatic relationship with other countries to exchange entrepreneurial skills to boost the economy.
