National Pilot Photo Editor loses father

The Photo Editor of National Pilot newspaper, Oladimeji Ajibade yesterday lost his father, Mr Solomon Ajibade in a motor accident along Igbaja road in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Late Ajibade who hailed from Okanle-Fajeromi in Ifelodun LLGA of the state, was aged 76 years and a retired teacher of Oyelagbawo Grammar School Ilala, Irepodun Local Government.

The sad incident reportedly occurred when he had a brake failure on his return to his base in Ilala, after travelling to Ajasse-Ipo to use POS for cash transaction as a result of the lockdown imposed by the government over the Covid-19 pandemic.

He died at a cottage hospital in Omupo around 7:00pm where he was rushed to after the incident and survived by four children.

He has since been buried at his residence in Tanke, Ilorin after a short burial service led by Pastors from Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Isegun, Taiwo Road, Ilorin.

Speaking with the son of the deceased, Oladimeji, described the incident as shocking adding that there is nothing the family can do than to accept the will of the Almighty God.

“He was a good man and a good father who we will never forget for his roles in our lives. He is irreplaceable and a comforter in every sense of the word. We love him but God loves him most. We only pray he should find rest with His Lord in eternity. We will miss him greatly”, he noted.
