Beach Soccer: Senegal earn knockout, Nigeria ousted again

Senegal booked their place in the quarterfinals of the 2019 FIFA Beach
Soccer World Cup after a workmanlike 3-1 victory over the United Arab
Emirates on Tuesday.
After a tight game that was still scoreless after two periods, Senegal
came alive in the third as goals from Mamadou Sylla, Ninou Diatta and
Raoul Mendy sent through to the next stage.
They will now meet fancied Portugal in the knockout stages on Thursday.
Nigeria had already been ousted when they met Brazil, but suffered a
heavy 12-2 loss as Rodrigo grabbed a hat-trick, including a
spectacular bicycle-kick for the South Americans.
Nigeria bow out of the competition having conceded 28 goals in their
three matches, comfortably the most of any team in the competition.
