Father kills son over alleged sexual affair with daughter-in-law

The people of Bewagana Fulani Camp in Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State, were bewildered recently after a father, Abdullahi Ali, reportedly killed his 20-year-old son, Salleh Zakariau over alleged sexual affair with his daughter-in-law.
The father, Ali, was on Tuesday ordered to be remanded in prison by the Magistrate court, sitting in Ilorin, the state capital.
The accused was reported to have connived with one Usman to commit the crime.
Ali was dragged before Magistrate Abdulmalik Mogaji for criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide contrary to sections 97 and 221 of penal code law.
The police First Information Report (FIR) revealed that the case was transferred from Kosubosu Division Police in Baruten local government to the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (CIID), Ilorin for discreet investigation.
The FIR added that one Zakari Adamu of Bewagana Fulani Camp Baruten on 26th May, 2019 reported at the police station that on that same day went to one Daniru at Fulani Camp Bewagana via Kosubosu and stabbed his son, Salleh Zakariau to death and escaped to an unknown destination.
Investigation conducted at the CIID Ilorin led to the arrest of the father who was said to have conspired with one Usman now at large to machete the deceased to death.
The deceased was said to have been murdered to death because he had always warned his father to stop disturbing his wife over sexual affair.
The prosecutor, Adebayo Thomas prayed the court to remand the defendant in prison custody as investigation is ongoing on the matter.
In his ruling, Magistrate Mogaji remanded the defendant in prison custody while the case has been adjourned to 13th June, 2019.
