Kwara Prison Command decorates 150 officers 

 

The Prison Service, Kwara State Command, has made a remarkable history following the promotion of no fewer than 150 officers into different cadres.
The state Controller of Prison, Adebisi Francis decorated the officers at the command headquarters, in Ilorin, last Thursday.
In his remarks, the Controller tasked the promoted officers to be responsible and dedicated to the service of their nation.
He added that the officers should be hard working in order to meet up with the expectations of members of the public who hold them in high esteem.
According to him, Kwara is the most privileged among all states to have huge number of promoted officers.
“The officers are promoted and given a call to higher duty due to their hard work and dedication, ” the Controller said.
He enjoined the promoted officers to reciprocate the gesture by putting in their best, disciplined, responsible and to always be at alert while on duty saying to whom much is given much is expected.
He urged the officers to redouble their efforts towards the growth of the service, saying that promotion is not a right but a privilege.
The officers were promoted into different ranks such as Assistant Controller of Prison and Deputy Superintendent of Prison.
Among the beneficiaries were; Mrs. Ayanlola Lydia, Mr. Ishola John and Mr. Adegbugbe Philip who were all promoted from the rank of Assistant Controller of Prison (ACP) to Deputy Superintendent of Prison.
Speaking on behalf of the decorated officers, ACP Salihu Bola expressed gratitude to the God for the success of the exercise and promised that they would be more committed in discharging their duties.
