Ajulo-Opin urges candidates to submit documents for admission, scholarship

 

The member representing Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun and Oke-Ero Federal Constituency, Hon. Tunji Olawuyi Ajulo-Opin, has called on the students he paid for their 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) forms to provide evidence that they succeeded in the exam for a possible admission and scholarship.
This was contained in a statement by the lawmaker’s (S.L.A) Senior Legislative Aide, Hon. Abdulganiyu Abdulsalam (AGAS) on Sunday.
AGAS explained that those who fall into this category should submit their documents to Hon. Ajulo-Opin’s constituency office in Omu-Aran, the headquarters of Irepodun Local Government area of Kwara State on or before Wednesday August 21.
“We are asking the candidates that Hon. Ajulo-Opin paid for their JAMB forms to come forward for possible assistance for admission and scholarship.
“For you to be a beneficiary, you must have scored your chosen institution’s cut off mark in both JAMB and Post-UTME.
“You must score at least 180 in JAMB and 50 per cent and above in Post-UTME, you must submit your O’level result, state of origin and evidence showing your intended institution.
“Of course, you must be from Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun or Oke-Ero local government area constituency, the statement said.
It would be recalled that Olawuyi purchased UTME forms for no fewer than 1,000 candidates some months ago as part of efforts to encourage the people of his constituency to get educated.
