By Damilola Alamu

Women have been urged to imbibe godly virtues as they are home makers
and by extension nation builders.
A Cleric, Pastor Promise Agboola gave  the charge on Sunday, in his
sermon delivered at the 34th anniversary of Deborah Band of the
Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ilorin District Headquarters,
Kwara State.
Speaking on the theme “Spirit filled woman”, Pastor Agboola advised
women to emulate the sterling qualities of Prophetess Deborah who was
filled with the Holy Spirit.
He, however, called on Christians again to seek first the kingdom of
God and seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit to do exploits in the
world.
The Cleric implored Christians to  surrender their lives to Christ as
it is the only way to inherit  the Kingdom of God.
He noted that, Jesus Christ came to the world to liberate the people,
urging the believers to  shun sin and move closer to God.
Pastor Agboola charged Christians to be spiritually alive and active
and win souls for Christ, adding that they will surely get the reward
on Judgement day.
In his sermon, Pastor Taiye Aransiola of the United Evangelical
Miracle Church Off Yidi Road Ilorin who spoke on “Divine
intervention,” explained that there are certain situations that people
find themselves that it is only God that can save them.

today, adding that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and
forever.
The  Cleric urged Christians to invite God into their lives as He
still loves to intervene in seemingly impossible situations.
Similarly, the Founder of the Believers Vineyard Church, Agbo-Oba,
llorin, Akin Obadofin  enjoined Christians to adhere strictly to the
teachings of the scriptures at all times and making  it their
watchwords.
Pastor Obadofin said this became imperative as no sinner will reign
with Christ in the hereafter.
