Emulate Biblical Samuel, Christians charged

A Cleric, General Evangelist Meshach Femi Adeyemi has  advised
Christians to imbibe the virtues of Prophet Samuel in the Bible.
He pointed out that the prophet exhibited qualities that stood him out
as a righteous man, who desired the things and knowledge of God.
The cleric  gave  the advise on Sunday in his sermon delivered at the
34th anniversary of Samuel Band of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement
Church, Ilorin District Headquarters, Kwara State.
Speaking on the Topic ‘Victorious Joy’, the cleric urged believers to
shun sin and move closer to God, charging them to be spiritually alive
and live exemplary life worthy of emulation by others.
He noted that human minds can be desperately wicked, urging
backsliding Christians  to have a change of heart.
The  evangelist also implored Christians to have good intentions
towards others,  and always have positive thought towards their fellow
human being.
Adeyemi then enjoined believers to always work for the unity of the
church and the nation at large.
Similarly, clerics in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, yesterday in
their different sermons, gave guidelines on good Christian life and
living.
In his sermon, the  Founder of the Believers’ Vineyard Church,
Agbo-oba, llorin, Pastor Akin Obadofin admonished Christians to trust
in God alone as He is able to do all things.
According to the Pastor,  nothing is impossible with God, adding that
all powers in heaven and on earth belong to Him.
On his part, Pastor Taiye Aransiola of the United Evangelical Miracle
Church Off Yidi Road, Ilorin in his message titled ‘Keep your
promises’, stressed the need for Christians to always keep their
promises.
He noted that keeping is a mark of faithful spirit, and strong
character, explaining that “to be considered as a man of integrity,
people  must ensure that their word is good and promise is kept as it
is the attribute of God.”
Also,  Pastor Aremu Abioye of the Ark of God Covenant Faith Bible
Ministry, Amayo called on Christians to worship God with pure heart.
Prophetess Cecilia lbrahim of the C & S Olorun-lsadi Gaa-lmam, Ilorin,
in her Sunday sermon emphasised on  the need for Christians to love
their neighbour.
Prophetess Cecilia lbrahim blamed the current woes of the nation on
the absence of love,  stressing the need for people to bury their
differences and live as one irrespective of their tribal and religious
backgrounds.
In his admonition to youths, Pastor  ldowu Constain of the New Life
Holy Trinity Chapel Gaa-Akanbi, ilorin appealed to them to remain
focused and shun acts that could destroy their future.
Pastor Kayode Omotosho of the CAC, Anusogo lorimi, Kilanko village,
Ilorin in his message ‘Wait upon the Lord’, called on Christians to
cultivate the habit of waiting upon the Lord for Him to fulfil His
will in their lives.
