Ilorin airport begins beautification of landscape

 

The management of Ilorin International Airport has embarked on facelift effort at the facility for purpose of beautification.
The efforts include repainting of road signs, as well as  expansion of the two walkways linking the departure and arrival halls of the terminal building.
Also embarked upon is the planting of flowers on roadsides from the entrance  to the landside and marking of vehicle parking space too for aesthetics purpose.
Speaking on the development, the Airport Manager, Alhaji Ibrahim Azeez said the development is borne out of the desire to make the airport more attractive and comfortable for passengers and staff.
He said, “The exercise is targeted at making the airport and its environs very comfortable for passengers and attractive to organisations and individuals who want to patronise the airport for tourism.
” People from different countries fly through this airport, therefore,  we want to  make it classy and  comfortable.
“We want to also beautify our airport environment to make it attractive to  more airlines in order to increase  patronage on our routes to various destinations in the country.
The manager called for support from all stakeholders in transforming the airport to a world class standard in the nearest future.
