Danialu Jnr School Principal wins YOMAFA award

The Principal of Danialu Junior Secondary School, Ilorin, Chief (Dr)
Saliu Babatunde Bakare was on November 24, 2019 bestowed with YOMAFA
award as Aare Gbajugbaja Alaragbayida at the Tafawa Balewa Square,
Lagos State.
Chief Bakare who was the only award recipient from the 31 applications
for the 7th edition of the YOMAFA Awards from Kwara State was honoured
for his contributions towards the promotion of Yoruba culture and
tradition across the country.
The Yoruba Music and Films Awards (YOMAFA) headed by Chief Gbenga Leo
Taiwo is Nigeria’s showbiz annual award designed to reward artist,
legends and corporate bodies.
Other award recipients included; Onimeran of Meran, Oba Awoyemi
Adewale, Fadilat Muhammed Jamiu, Hon Muibi Jamiu and the Chairman,
National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos State, Musiliu
Akinsanya (MC Oluomo).
Present at the event were veteran actors; Chief Olalere Osunpaimo (Eda
Onileola), Adeshina Aderupoko, Alhaji Moshood Akanmu Olanrewaju and
Mrs Yetunde Ogunsola, wife of late Ishola Ogunsola (Isho Pepper).
It would be recalled that Bakare was recently awarded the King of
Orator (Parakoyi) by the Association of the Teachers  of Yoruba
Language Culture of Nigeria (Ilorin Chapter. Also, last December, the
former principal of Olunlade Junior Secondary School, Ilorin, received
the award for the Best Principal, 2018 in Ilorin South Local
Government Area of the state.
