2020 Budget: Kwara N162bn appropriation bill scale second reading

The Kwara 2020 Appropriation bill of N162 billion on Thursday passed second Reading at the State House of Assembly.
The Appropriation bill tagged budget of Reconstruction and Reformation” was presented before the Assembly by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on December 18, 2019.
The motion for the second reading of the bill which was moved by the House Leader, Hon Olawoyin Abubakar-Magaji enjoyed the support of all members at the plenary.
Members who contributed during the debate on the bill which began on Wednesday noted that the bill caters for all sectors of the state economy capable of bringing more development in all spheres of life.
The Speaker, Engr Danladi Yakubu-Salihu implored the members to ensure that respective constituencies benefit from the appropriation bill when finally passed by the House.
He charged the members to be critical during budget defence by Ministries Departments and Agencies in the state to achieve the desired results.
The Speaker later referred the appropriation bill to the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation for further legislative action after the Clerk of the House, Hajia Halimah Perogi read it for the second time.
