 APC youth leaders condole Gov AbdulRazak over father’s death

...advise KWSG to rename Govt. High School after deceased

Youth leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) Kwara Central have sympathized with the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazak over the death of his father, Alhaji Abdulrazak Ganiyu Folorunsho (SAN) on Saturday.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed and released to newsmen in Ilorin by the forum’s coordinator, Mallam Yusuf Abdullah Atolagbe, Secretary, Azeez Akeem Amuyankan and the Public Relations Officer of the group, Mallam Mansood Oluwanishola Salman on Saturday.

The statement described late A.G.F Rasak as a rare gem who had contributed immensely to both human and community development of Ilorin, the state and Nigeria as whole.

The forum in its condolence message said the Mutawal of Ilorin emirate and Tafida of Zauzzau is an embodiment of peace and of good character, who had immortalised himself through his contribution to humanity and Community Development.

The statement further described the first lawyer in the Northern Region and one time Nigeria Ambassador to Ivory Coast as father of Kwara politics who play a very significant role in the creation of state.

The group thanked Almighty Allah for a life well spent of the late jurist, appreciating God for him to taste of his good work in his life time before his demised, adding that he gave quality moral western and Qur’an education to his children before his departed this world.

The statement prayed almighty Allah to grant His Excellency, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and the entire family members, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, the sons, daughters of Ilorin emirate, the Kwara APC members, the entire good people of Kwara state and Nigerians as a whole to bear the fortitude loss.

The forum also advised the state government to rename the Government High School Ilorin after A.G.F. AbdulRasak High School Ilorin for immortalization.

The statement prayed Allah to grant the deceased Aljanatul Fridaoz.

The Ansarul Islam Secondary School Alumni Association has joined other sympathisers in the country in condoling Governor Abdulrahaman AbdulRazak over the loss of his father, Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Folorunsho AbdulRazaq SAN who died last Saturday at the age of 93.

In a condolence message signed by the National President of the Association on behalf of the Alumni, Dr Abdullahi Ayinla Olokooba expressed pain and grief over the exit of the patriarch and the first lawyer in the Northern Nigeria.

Olokooba described the deceased as a passionate educationist whose immense contributions and milestones in pre and post independence of the country cannot be over emphasized.

He stressed that his demise is a great loss not only to Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State but the country in general, noting that his death came at a time when the nation needed his vast experience as vacuum created by his exit will be difficult to fill.

He prayed Allah to grant the legal luminary, AGF AbdulRazak eternal rest and give his immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
