The Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has sent the Freedom of Information Bill to the House of Assembly for amendment.
The bill was passed by the 8th legislature under Ali Ahmad but Governor Abdulrazaq did not given his ascent for the 30 days period the can either sign or decline assent.
But the governor has however returned it to the lawmakers to amended some clauses.
Towards this end, Kwara State House of Assembly has commenced process of amendment of FOI
The Speakers, Hon Yakaubu Danladi read a letter transmitted to the 9th Assembly for reconsideration of the bill at plenary last week.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in the letter said there is need for amendment of some clauses in the bill to make the law practicable.
