Old students renovate Alma mata’s admin block with N5m

The Old Students’ Union of Idofian Grammar School has given back to their alma mata by renovating the college’s administrative block with over N 5million.

Speaking at the commissioning of the renovated administrative building on Saturday, the school principal lauded the old students union for giving back to the school that made them.

“Permit me to point out some of the involvements of the Old Students in the development of the school and complementing government efforts for the attainment of proper teaching and learning processes towards promoting the educational standard of Kwara State. The efforts among others are :An old student assisted the principal to secure a world bank assisted grant/projects from Kwara State Social Community Development Agency for Idofian Community, donations of text books and sponsorship of deserving students  for one academic session”,he said.

In his welcome address, the President of Idofian Grammar School old students association, Barr. Tajudeen Olaseni thanked the school management for giving the alumni the opportunity to renovate the edifice.

“This administrative block is strategically located and apart from being the nerve centre of the school, it is the first point of contact to visitors coming to Idofian Grammar School.

“I want to quickly use this occasion to acknowledge the donations from Hon Ismail Tijani. We also thank the wife of Chairman, KAMWIRE Ltd, Alhaja Bolanle Yusuf for her donations while not forgetting the support we have always enjoyed from management of Triumph Associate”, he added.
