Emir of Ilorin chief, Magaji Alaje, dies at 117

The Magaji Alaje of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Alaje, has died at the age of 117.
He died on Sunday and the Fidau for the repose of his soul was held same day.
The Fidau was attended by people from far and near who defied the rain to be in attendance and pay their respect to the late nonagenarian .
Highlights of the event was the recitation of Quran, sermon and lecture by the Mukadam Agba of Ilorin, Shaikh Sulaiman Danboronu.
Speakers upon speakers at the ceremony described the Magaji as a God fearing man and urged the children to emulate the good virtues of their father.
Speaking to National Pilot, the eldest son of the deceased, Imam Musa Adisa described his father as an charitable personality who loved to help people.
“He was very gentle, generous and Godfearing man. He loved peace and maintained same with everyone. He was one of the warriors of shaikh Alimi. He always preach peace.”
Adisa said that he would missed his father, adding that his absence would be felt at the daily Congregational Solat.
The deceased survived by a wife and four children.
