Native doctor arraigned  over alleged kidnap threat

The Magistrate court sitting in Ilorin the Kwara State capital has granted bail to one Ibrahim Musa over intimidation and alleged threat to life.
The police First Information Report (FIR) revealed that one Umaru  Kirowa of Akana Area Oro Ago Kwara State reported the case at the Divisional Police Headquarters Omu-Aran Kwara State Command . The case was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (CIID) Ilorin for discreet investigation.
It revealed that on the 23 March. 2019, Musa called  Kirowa on phone with his MTN No. 09067946699 threatening him to pay the sum of N2million otherwise he and his family will be kidnapped.
In the cause of interrogation carried out at the State CIID, it was revealed that Musa is an habitual criminal who had been threatening Kwarans on phone with kidnap threat so as to extort them of their monies.
He was dragged before Magistrate Oreoluwa Bamigbola for criminal intimidation contrary to section 397 of penal code law.
The prosecutor, Isaac Yakubu prayed the court to remand the accused person in prison custody as investigation is ongoing on the matter.
In his plea, counsel to the accused, Samuel Umoh prayed the court to grant the accused person bail as the matter is ordinarily bailable. He added that granting the accused bail will  not affect the ongoing police investigation.
In his short ruling, Bamogboye admitted to the bail of the accused to a sum of N100,000.00 and two sureties.
