Barca agree £90m fee with Dortmund for Dembele: Barcelona has agreed an up-front fee of £90million with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Ousmane Dembele, according to reports in Spain. Diario Sport say a breakthrough in negotiations has seen the two clubs agree the €100m initial payment, though add-ons are still to be negotiated with the Bundesliga side holding out for a further €30m (£27.3m). The Spanish side are in need of a replacement for Neymar, who departed for Paris Saint-Germain in a world-record £198m transfer earlier this month. In full knowledge of Barcelona’s situation, Dortmund are determined to get value for French playmaker Dembele, who scored 10 goals and contributed 27 assists for them last season. Sport report that the add-ons would be based on goals scored, appearances and trophies won during 20-year-old Dembele’s time at the Nou Camp.
Wenger concedes Sanchez will leave for free in 2018: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that it is a distinct possibility that Alexis Sanchez will leave the club for free next summer. The Gunners boss says there has been no progress made in reaching a renewal for the 28-year-old attacker, whose deal is up next June, though that will not stop Wenger playing the Chilean. Alexis has been linked with PSG and Manchester City still consider him a top target, and Wenger has now accepted that his star man is all set to leave for nothing. “We’ve not made any progress on that front,” he admitted when asked about a new contract for Alexis. “Him leaving for free is a consequence of what I say – unfortunately. “We have to make a choice between efficiency on the field and financial interest. Most of time if you can find a good compromise it is better, but in this case I think I will prioritise the sporting side.”

The Colombia international is the subject of intense negotiations between the two clubs over a fee. De Telegraaf says Sanchez has settled on a five-year contract proposal with Spurs representatives. However, a fee is still to be agreed, with the Londoners reluctant to go higher than €40m – while Ajax is demanding €50m.
