Arsenal strike Lemar deal with Monaco
Arsenal has struck a deal with AS Monaco for France international winger Thomas Lemar, I can reveal.
Lemar to Arsenal is a done deal. As I’ve already written on Tribalfootball.com, the Gunners have been pursuing their main target for much of this transfer window, with Lemar a name demanded by manager Arsene Wenger himself.
The price agreed for the French winger, born in Guadeloupe in 1995, is around £48 million plus some bonuses to be added. It’s close to the price asked at the beginning of the negotiations by Monaco – £53 million as we’ve already reported.
An official announcement is expected when Arsenal return from their tour of Australia and China: Monaco have asked Arsenal to wait – with medicals, official pictures and his presentation to be delayed until they find a replacement for the French youngster.
Belotti snubs Chelsea for Milan
Andrea Belotti has told AC Milan he wants to join, but the Rossoneri are falling short of Torino’s asking price.
The Italy international has attracted interest from Chelsea, but Vincenzo Montella’s side is making an approach and he has made it clear through intermediaries that he wants it to happen.
Torino is demanding €100 million, but Milan is offering €40m plus Gabriel Paletta and M’Baye Niang.

Madrid ponders Bale sacrifice
Manchester United is keeping close tabs on developments at Real Madrid over Gareth Bale’s future.
The Sunday Express says Real could offload Bale to help fund a raid for Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe.
Monaco are demanding at least £120m to part with their prized asset.
And Bale could be sacrificed to help fund an eye-watering raid.
It’s suggested Manchester United and Paris St-Germain have made enquires in the past.
The duo are cash rich and might be tempted to try their luck again if Real decide to sell.
Bale is no longer a guaranteed starter at the Bernabeu.
Milan keen on Modric
AC Milan are interested in signing Luka Modric, but could face a fight to persuade the Real Madrid midfielder to move to the San Siro.
Modric is reportedly a long-term admirer of Milan, but the Serie A club’s lack of Champions League football on offer next season would be a stumbling block to any deal, even if they persuade Madrid to sell.

Mourunho demands Kroos for De Gea
Manchester United Boss, Jose Mourinho is demanding that Real Madrid include Toni Kroos in any deal for David de Gea.
The Spanish giants are apparently still interested in signing De Gea, although Jose Mourinho will apparently not allow him to leave unless the German is included as a makeweight.
Perisic leaves Inter camp
Ivan Perisic has left Inter’s training camp amid strong transfer links with Manchester United, Calciomercato reports.
The Italian outlet claims the player is suffering from a dental abscess and that negotiations between the Red Devils and the Nerazzurri have not progressed since a bid of €45m was rejected.
Regardless, the news that the Croatian has removed himself has fans questioning whether the deal has moved forward, with Man Utd eager to get the transfer resolved as soon as possible.

Barca plans new Paulinho bid
Barcelona are ready to increase their bid for Paulinho to €30 million as they prepare to hold further talks with Guangzhou Evergrande over the midfielder, according to Mundo Deportivo .
The Chinese club have already rejected offers of €20m and €25m for the Brazilian, and do not want to sell Paulinho midway through the season.
However, Barca are refusing to give up on their pursuit of Paulinho and hope an improved offer will persuade Guangzhou to change their mind about selling the former Tottenham man.
Liverpool winger wanted on loan
Liverpool winger Ryan Kent is a loan target for Championship side Hull City.
Kent spent last season on loan at Barnsley, and has also been linked with a move to Birmingham City as he looks to gain further first-team experience.
Any deal for Kent to move to Hull isn’t expected to have any bearing on Liverpool’s reported £8 million bid to sign Andy Robertson from the Tigers.

AC Milan has made an offer to loan Renato Sanches from Bayern Munich with an option to buy.
The 19-year-old has been linked with a move away from Bayern and the Rossoneri are willing to pay €7 million to take him for two years before paying another €40m.

Inter are looking to hijack Liverpool’s move for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita.
