The Minister-in-charge of Calvary Baptist Church, Ilorin, Reverend Francis Oladipo has enjoined Christians to always seek divine healing from God.
Describing God as Jehovah Ralpha, he urged believers to give room for Him to heal them of all forms of infirmities.
The clergyman admonished the church through the book of Psalms chapter 107 verse 19-20 and Luke chapter 6 verse 17-19, saying God is ever ready to attend to the health needs of everyone regardless of his or her condition.
According to him, “When the oppressed called on God, He sent His word, and saved them from the grave, that is why devil doesn’t have power over those who know how to call on Him.”
He added that Jesus showed rare humility by going with the multitude in Luke chapter 6 to heal those with impure spirit and diseases, urging Christians to imbibe His humble nature.
Revd. Oladipo said, “Many families have denied the flow of God in their lives because of their pomposity’, they see some church activities as degrading to their personality, that is very wrong.
“God is humble, that is why he doesn’t condemn anyone with terrible background or past, but rather welcomes them with so much joy in heaven whenever they call. God is ever ready to heal diseases of any sorts, he knows them by name and He will call them forth.
“And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem…And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed [them] all,” he said quoting a portion of the Bible.
He then prayed that God should touch anyone whom devil might have been tormenting, with His healing powers.
