NBTE lauds Ahmed for Offa Health Tech infrastructure

The National Board for Technical Education has lauded the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed for upgrading infrastructure at the state College of Health Technology in Offa.

According to a statement signed by the institution’s Registrar and made available to this medium, yesterday, the commendation is coming on the heels of the recent visit of the board for inspection of facilities towards approval of four HND programmes in the college.

The leader of the team and Director of Monotechnic Programmes, Mrs. Helen Oduntan who represented the Executive Secretary of the board however called on the state government not to relent on its effort to improve facilities at the institution.

While appreciating the Governing Council and management of the institution, Oduntan expressed satisfaction with the hard work, enthusiasm and warm reception for his team throughout the exercise.

Meanwhile, the college has been given an interim approval to run four programmes at HND level. The programmes are; Community Health, Environment Health, Information Management and Public Health Nursing.

It was however stated that graduates of the programmes are qualified to partake in the mandatory National Youth Service Corps Programme (NYSC).
