The National Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said it will very soon a pronouncement on the leadership tussle that rocking the Kwara State chapter of the party.
This development is coming as the factional chairmen, Iyiola Oyedepo and Prince Sunday Fagbemi has continued to lay claims to the authentic chairman of the party.
Speaking exclusively with Pilot Politics from Abuja Yesterday, the National Publicity Secretary of the National Caretaker Committee of the party, Prince Dayo Adeyeye said the party will soon settle the leadership tussle in Kwara to unveil the authentic chairman of party in the state.
He said the party is compiling all the names of the rightful chairman of the party following the sack of the Ali Modu Sheriff led faction by the Supreme Court.
“As for Kwara, we are going to settle the issue soonest. We are already compiling the name(s) of the authentic chairmen in the state and across country and by the time we publish it, everybody will know where they belong, Adeyeye added.
Meanwhile both Oyedepo and Fagbemi have continued to lay claim to the chairmanship position of the party in the state.
Two lists containing the names of both of them were being circulated in the social media yesterday by both camps.
Fagbemi who said he remained the rightful chairman said his name was the one that appeared on the first list which is the authentic one adding that the second list was the one that was used for Port Harcourt convention which has since been nullified by the court.
But Oyedepo insisted he was still the chairman, adding that he attended the meeting in Abuja where his name was announced.
