Nigerian celebrities have embraced tattoos in recent times. While ‘tattoo-ing’ the body is more common with male celebs, the females are clearly not behind in the tattoo game.
Celebrities like Davido and Annie Idibia are sporting body art of some kind, from tiny markings to full sleeves. Some have gotten inked for their significant others and those who wear their children’s name on their skin.
Some other celebrities who have had tattoos at a younger age later regretted it but some are totally in love with the ink.
- Oge Okoye
Oge Okoye has been a lover of tattoo before she got into Nollywood. The pretty mother of two has three very small tattoos on her body, one on her ankle, arm and boobs.
- Peter Okoye
Peter Okoyes has an arm and chest tattoo. It’s an abstract design but a pretty one. One that goes from his shoulder and extends to his forearm.
- Rukky Sanda
Tall and pretty Rukky Sanda was known to have a little tattoo on her ankle and arm since she came into movies until recently when she added a new one on her back.

Tuface’s wife, Annie has a tattoo on her ankle and also has Idibia written on her chest.
- Tonto Dikeh
The light skinned actress who ranks as one of the most daring in Nollywood is one who you can call a tattoo freak. She has over four different tattoos all over her body. She made the news recently when she drew a very massive tattoo on her back; she also has on her neck, her waist and belly.
- Halima Abubakar
Halima proudly wears her pretty small Rose tattoo on her chest.
- Iyabo Ojo
Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo who has on several occasions opened up on her love for tattoos, has one on her arm and on her boobs.
Oritsefemi is an ink lover and according to reports, the music act has about 15 tattoos inked on different parts of his body.
Olamide recently got a second tattoo, months after getting his first tattoo, an image of the ‘Olokun’ head. The revered rapper inked a head of a guitar on his right leg.
Famous rapper is a big fan of inking too. He has several tattoos on his hands, back and neck. One of them say’ “Ema dami duro, emi omo baba olowo” translated in English to mean “Don’t try to stop me, I am the son of a very rich man”. And he also has a picture of himself on his back.

The king of extravagant behaviour, Ice Prince likes to get tattoos with names and phrases. He has a tattoo of his real surname on his hand and the names of his sisters are also inked.
- IK Ogbonna
The chest and arm tattoo on IK Ogbonna looks like inscriptions from a bible verse, and an abstract design that stretches down to his fore arm.
Iyanya is another tattoo lover and his shoulder tattoo is what he’s most famous for. But his new chest tattoo is what makes his whole tattoo ensemble complete.
The Star Boy is inked up almost all over both of his arms. He has his son’s name, Bolutatife also inked on his hand.

Burna is another artiste that’s inked up all over. Pretty much his whole upper body is inked up.
