It was gathered that some residents of Onilu compound who were at the backyard to defecate suspected that a heinous act must have been carried out at the grave site, thereby raising the alarm that attracted people to the scene, which led to the discovery missing corpse of Sulaiman.
After discovering the missing corpse, Sulaiman’s relatives organised a special prayer for those behind the evil act and the sudden death of their son to be exposed.
It was during the prayer session that the youth perceived stench in the community and opted to search the area. To avoid discovering the corpse in the car (Honda EOD) of Folorunsho, he alongside his brother (Ladi) were said to have drove off from the area.

“Sulaiman came down to Ilorin and joined his friends who taught him to read and write in Arabic and translation of the Quran in order to stand out among other Islamic clerics. They became notable and respected clerics in our area.
“Before Sulaiman’s death, they all went to an event and on their way back, the deceased said he complained of strange feeling and could not be diagnosed of any ailment at the hospital. He complained of severe pain and implored his family to beg some unknown people on his behalf to set him free, before his death last Wednesday.”
The deceased also requested not to be buried in the family compound if he eventually dies.

According to the source, Folorunsho and Ladi, on Monday night, went back to the grave of Sulaiman to exhume the corpse.
“It was the decision of the duo to drive off when the youth were searching for the source of the obnoxious odour that made them forcefully gain entrance into Folorunsho and Ladi’s house to conduct a search.
“During the search, we discovered decomposing human parts such as head, foot and hands of unidentified persons. We also saw a black pot filled with human hairs, small casket wrapped with red cloth, horn wrapped with both red and white cloths and N1, 000 notes stored in a fridge. Also sighted by us was a small table with red cloth on it with other charms and black soap,” she disclosed, adding that the enraged youth demolished the house of the suspects and also dragged their father out of the building.

When Folorunsho picked the call, he reportedly told his father that, he is aware their secrets have been exposed but told the father they would rather meet in heaven.
“When the suspects’ father called the wife to query the whereabouts of her husband, Ladi, she said he had fled the town with no plan to return soon.”
