Jimoh Raheem Agboola, the only opposition member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the 9th Assembly.
Contrary to the true picture of what transpared that led to the unlawful suspension of the Honourable, Mr Yusuf in his recent interview, claimed that “Hon. Agboola was not persecuted for anything, but what he did was against the House rule”.
Base in this falsehood and a deliberate attempt to mislead the innocent populace, Hon. Agboola, therefore, demanded an unreserved apology from him, and to retract his claim and wrong allegation levied against his personality.

You will recall that the Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi Salihu, had on 14th July 2021 made an unofficial suspension of Hon. Abubakar Mogaji Olawoyin, accusing him of inciting comments on a radio programme about the deplorable state of roads infrastructure in his Ilorin South constituency specifically and the state in general.
Similarly, the suspension had earlier been regarded as kangaroo pronouncements that can not be accepted, and holds no water but serves as total denial to all the good people of Ilorin South State Constituency of their right and true representation it deserves.
However, Hon. Agboola has made this known in a letter via his secretary, Mrs. Bello A. Oyindamola, where it read in parts: “Our attentions has been drawn to an online interview you granted, anchored by JustEventOnlineTV on the 7th October, 2021 where you made an assertion that I attacked and went against the rule of the House.”
“You’re hereby advised to tender an unreserved apology letter and retract this statement via the following radio stations, Sobi FM, Albarka FM, Royal FM, Garin FM, SBS FM, Midland FM, National Pilot, Herald Newspaper, including JustEventOnlineTV etc.”
Also, the statement assured Mr. Femi Yusuf that, “Failure to do this within seven days will leave us with no option than to take a legal action against you where you’ll explain better the aspect of the law I breached”, it read.
Consecutively, a copy of this letter has been directed to the Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi, the Clerk of the House, Hajia Halimat Kperogi and the Majority Leader, Hon. Abubakar Magaji Olawoyin.
