Valuable items allegedly worth N500, 000 have been discovered stolen by suspected burglars from the Oyun area apartment, Ilorin of a Deaconess, Bodunde Muslimat.

The burglary incident was discovered yesterday when a relative of Bodunde, Oyeyipo Abiodun went to the apartment to inspect and ‘warm’ the car of the deaconess who was said to be on sick bed.

On getting to the house, Oyeyipo was said to have noticed some changes in the compound and he particularly became suspicious upon sighting the gas cylinder at the entrance.

“Valuable items such as Plasma television and other property valued at N500,000 were gone. I am sure when the owner returns she may discover more items missing,” Oyeyipo stated.

He however disclosed that the case had been reported at the Oke-Oyi police station and the officers had visited the crime scene, took pictures and promised to commence investigation on the matter.

When contacted on the development, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi, said he was yet to be briefed but he promised to get back to our reporter on Monday (today).
