The Senior Special Assistant to Kwara State Governor on Artisan Related Matters, Prince Ebenezer Oyedele Adetula, has called on the new executives of artisans in the state to inject fresh ideas in order to achieve developmental goals.

Adetula gave the charge recently during the inauguration of the new executives of artisans by the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Elder Peter Kisira at the Banquet Hall, in Ilorin the state capital.

The Governor’s aide said, “I congratulate you today but you need to inject fresh ideas in unifying all associations under the umbrella to strengthen your activities in the state.

“The success of this outgoing executive would not have been possible if Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed-led administration has not been hospitable to the Artisan Congress.

“The assistance and support rendered by this government are too numerous to mention in a little time but the most conspicuous of all is the auspicious enabling environment created for artisans despite the recession and other economic challenges in the country.

“The state government made it mandatory for all MDAs to patronise the artisans because by so doing, it will boost the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state.”

According to him, the tax holiday relief given by the government to all Small Scale industries within the state cannot be overemphasised as such rare opportunity will give room for industrious individuals to succeed.

Adetula stressed that modern equipment like lathe machine, which cost over N5million and other support capable of moving the congress forward were provided by the state government.
