Policeman allegedly kills man during argument in Osun
A young man, Segun Emir was on Sunday morning allegedly murdered in cold blood by a police officer at Gbeja football pitch around Oke-Baale in Osun State.
According to reports, an argument was said to have ensued between the victim and the police officers while being questioned alongside others which thereafter led to one of them slapping the officer who angrily shot at the victim.
An eyewitness said the deceased was rushed to a private hospital near the scene of the incident but was rejected due to the degree of injuries sustained.
He was reportedly later rushed to the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital (LAUTECH), Osogbo where he eventually died, which led to angry youths in the community barricading the entire place, restricting vehicular movement.
