Christian leaders tasked on ‘great commission’

Christian leaders have again been called upon to set their priority right and be good example to win souls for the kingdom.

A Cleric, Reverend Olawuyi James, made the call in a sermon delivered at the UMCATC  College chapel, along Ajase-Ipo road, Ilorin, Kwara State.

Speaking on the theme “Ministers and the great commission. Running with a focus and end strong,” Reverend James charged them to be courageous and determined to succeed in their assignment.

He advised them to work hard as one who is expecting to be rewarded  in the near future  by looking unto Jesus Christ, who is the author and finisher of their faith.

In his sermon titled “Congregation of righteous” delivered at the 32nd anniversary of Deborah Band, Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Ilorin District Headquarters, Pastor Olaolu Adeyemo ‎called on Christians to be faithful and live a righteous life to receive God’s blessing and mercy.

Pastor Adeyemo urged them to desist from sin and be upright to develop good relationship with God.

Speaking on the topic “Divine intervention,” Pastor Taiye Aransiola of the United Evangelical Miracle Church, off Yidi road, Ilorin, prayed to God to intervene in the seemingly impossible situations of the nation.

Reverend Joseph Agboluaje of Second ECWA, Shao, who spoke on the theme: “Where are the faithful ones in the  Land?” called on the faithful to rise up to put an end to evil and play their roles effectively to eradicate corruption in the land.

‎Reverend Agboluaje implored Nigerians, particularly political leaders, to let the word of God have great impact in their lives and dealings at all times.

Pastor Olajide Fawuyi  of Faith Baptist Church, Ita Elepa, Ilorin, who talked on the topic “My redeemer is strong” called on Christians to have faith in God and worship Him wholeheartedly.

The General Overseer of Glorious Heights Christ Chapel Asa- Dam road,Ilorin, Pastor Amos Ajayi‎ in the sermon “Holy ghost visit my foundation” urged Christians to move closer to God and make Him their corner stone to succeed.
