Following the Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Aisha Alhassan’s comment on President Muhammadu Buhari’s yet undeclared plans to run in 2019, the Buhari Campaign Organization has called for the sack of the embattled minister.

It maintained that the minister must “hold his ground” on the matter adding that she should either resign nor be sacked by the President.

Speaking during a Channels Television programme, “Politics Today” and monitored in Ilorin last night, the Deputy Director, Media of the organization, Ayo Oyalowo stated that if minister is no longer comfortable with administration, she was suppose to resign instead of making irrelevant and unnecessary comments .

“The President is liberal and allows anybody to speak but I think this is the time the President should put his foot on the ground and show that he is in charge.

“The minister needs to step down and resign if she does not feel comfortable anymore” he added.

Speaking on the health of the President ahead 2019, Oyalowo emphasized that no one can predict the health status of Buhari added that it is too early for the President to disclose his decision whether to run or not.

“Nigeria economy is recovering at this point in time and I think what we need now is to rally around the President for the country to succeed. Comments about 2019 should be put aside for now. People are just mischievous, there is no reason why President Buhari should tell anybody if he will contest or not.

“If he is healthy enough to run in 2019, he has the right to run and I will support him” he submitted

Alhassan popular called Mama Taraba has been under fire for openly declaring support for former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar while as a serving minister under the Buhari administration.
