The Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Folake Ani-Mumuney has been elected the new President of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN).
Mrs. Mumuney, a General Manager with First Bank of Nigeria Plc,. described as an accomplished business strategist, resourceful corporate communicator, award winning marketing communications professional and highly networked media manage was elected at the association’s Annual General Meeting held in Lagos on Friday and was immediately inaugurated.
Responding shortly after her inauguration, Mrs. Mumuney described her choice to lead the association as a honour and appreciated all who deem her fit to handle the position with a promise to bring in her wealth of experience to run the organisation while building on the achievements of her predecessors.
She holds a BA degree in philosophy from University of Lagos and later attended University of Birmingham where she grabbed LLB in Law.
She has several years of valuable experience, having worked before now as Manager, African Operations at British Airways, Group Head, Corporate Affairs and Marketing Communications at Dangote Group before her present portfolio at First Bank of Nigeria.
As the President of ADVAN, she is expected to bring her years of experience and network into fore to further position the association which is regarded as the most sought for in the industry, for, the association is regarded as one that lays the golden eggs as well as one that ‘oils’ the entire advertising and marketing communication industry in Nigeria.
Also elected as the association’s Publicity Secretary is Mr. Onome Asagbra, of Prima Dufil Ltd where he is Product Manager, Indomie.
Asagbara said the new executives will work together to take ADVAN to the next level.
