LEAH foundation, a brain child of the wife of the Kwara State Governor, Deaconess Omolewa Ahmed will on Monday commence free cancer screening for female civil servants in the state.
This is coming on the heels of the health campaign awareness embarked upon by the foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development at the marriage registry of the ministry, Ilorin.
Speaking, an official of LEAH foundation, Mrs. Bola Oladapo emphasised the need for female civil servants in the state to engage in regular check-up of the breast and cervix.
Oladapo stated that regular screening will go a long way in preventing both breast and cervical cancer among females.
She therefore urged female civil servants to make proper use of the opportunity as the screening is free.
