Kwara Utd boss assures players, official improved welfare
The President, Kwara United Football Club of Ilorin, Prince Oladimaji Thompson has promised the players of the club of better days ahead.
Prince Oladimeji, gave the assurance, when the State Branch of Youth Sport Federation of Nigeria, led by the Chairman, Prince Ademola Kiesola, paid a courtesy visit to Kwara United office, Stadium Complex, Ilorin on the club’s promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
According to him, all salaries of the players have been paid till date, while eighty per cent of their bonus has also been cleared.
Thompson, who described the outgoing campaign as fantastic season for the Ilorin-based club which recorded thirteen wins with four of them on the road.
He thanked lovers of the club for their prayers and support to the team.
The president of the club attributed the success recorded by the club to the state government and, as well as support from the stakeholders.
He however called on the supporters of the club to continue to support club in order for them to achieve more success come next season.
Responding, the Chairman of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), Kwara branch, Ademola Kiyesola, commended the club’s president, the management and players for a job well-done, urging them to sustain the tempo.
