A cleric, Pastor Olusola Alagbe, has reminded Christians that God loves them and His plan is for all believers to prosper.
Delivering a sermon last Sunday as guest pastor, at Calvary Baptist Church, Gaa-Akanbi, Ilorin, Kwara State, said prosperity is heritage of Christians.
The clergyman noted that many believers decided to remain poor because they failed to understand what the scriptures say about prosperity. According to him, “3rd John verse 2 noted that God’s wish and plan for everyone is for us to prosper in soul and health. How could God who is never poor would want that we should be poor. It is impossible.”
He added that Christians should always see farming as an opportunity to prosper, saying that was what Isaac demonstrated in the book of Genesis 26.
“Then Isaac sowed in that land and received in the same year an hundredfold, and the Lord blessed him. And the man waxed great and went forward, and grew until he became very great,” he quote a passage from the Bible.
He however urged Christians to listen to God for direction in order to prosper in the land of the living.
“…as hard as Nigeria is today, many people are still making it, they are adding wealth to wealth, they never run away, you can make the best use of the farming time to your success just as Isaac did. He planted and his seeds yielded much fruits. See every hard time, the an opportunity for you to excel, ” he stressed.
