Started business with commission from my sister – CEO Musbau Properties
The Chief Executive Officer of Musbau Properties Enterprise, Mr. Musbau Suleiman, is one of the outstanding real estate and property managers in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The entrepreneur said he nursed passion for that line of business since his undergraduate days, about a decade ago.
He added that his elder sister who is into same business gave him the nudge.
“She asked me to assist her in getting a land and I was able to get the land and she purchased it and gave me some percentage as commission.
“Along the line, I met Alhaji Kareem Mumini who is into estate management, he was privy to a document on the work I did for my sister and he was satisfied and invited me to work with him, ” he explained.
According to him, his start up capital for the business was minimal as his sister had set the pace for him.
“My sister had a 24 -room hostel, which I rented out to Unilorin students and I was adequately compensated. After my NYSC in 2010, I started my business.
The CEO stressed that he was able to realise his target and made inroad in that line of business before long.
Suleiman attributed his popularity and success to transparency in rendering services to clients.
“Some of our clients, because of our honesty and transparency handed over their property to us to manage or sell, ” he added.
He however advised youths to be creative by discovering their potentials for economic gains instead of embarking on endless search for white collar jobs.
He then called on the government to assist small and medium scale enterprises to grow in order to boost economy of the state.
