Era of domestic accidents in Kwara
There seemed to be a wave of domestic accidents among personalities in Kwara State.
On the list of political office holders and head of parastatals to fallen casualty to domestic mishap of late are; the Chairman of Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS), Dr Murtala Awodun, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Engr Musa Ayinla Yeketi and the Chief Executive Officer of Amrosh Communications, Ilorin, Mr Segun Ewedemi.
While Awodun who was flown abroad for treatment was said to have slipped in the bathroom, Yeketi reportedly twisted his ankle during a keep fit exercise in the morning.
Akeem Aiyedun abandons hotel project
These are not the best of times for a former member of Federal House of Representatives, Hon Akeem Aiyedun. The lawyer, who is the son of the late former chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Alhaji Yusuf Aiyedun, is said to have abandoned his massive hotel project at Onikanga Road, GRA, Ilorin.
For residents of the area, they are worried that the abandoned three-storey hotel project if not completed on time by the owner may be used as hideout by hoodlums.
Bola Shagaya tows quiet path at 58
Despite her affluence, billionaire oil magnate of Kwara origin, Muinat Bola Shagaya had consistently shy away from splashing her wealth on elaborate birthdays for herself to the surprise of her loved ones.

Should there be a pressing need for Oba Gbadamosi to pass information and get feedback from his people, the monarch does not need to make phone calls or call town meetings, with a few lines on his Facebook wall and he will within a few minutes get response in hundreds from his subjects.
For his activities on social media, the monarch has exceeded his friendship limit and has been barred from taking in new friends on his Facebook account.

It was an evening of fun and excitement as Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo opened the doors to her Abula Spot and restaurant in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, recently.
The two-storey lounge was declared open by the First Lady of Kwara State, Deaconess Omolewa Ahmed.
Speaking during her remarks, the CEO and founder of Abula spot, talked about her journey as a serial entrepreneur and how she always wanted to own a high profile restaurant.
On her relationship with Mrs Ahmed, she said, “I have a good relationship with her Excellency, the First Lady of Kwara State. My daughter once worked on a project for a foundation she runs and that brought us close. And when I needed a strong woman to open this place for me. I spoke to her about it and she was willing to come.”
