Bank customers were confused on Tuesday as they could not make cash deposit through the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at First Bank along Ajase-Ipo road, Ilorin.
The machine, which was installed few months ago had been converted from deposit to a cash withdrawal one.
The machine had developed fault shortly after it was installed and the management had assured customers of its repair.
The customers numbering about 12 were already on queue before they discovered that the machine could only make cash withdrawal and not deposit.
Most of the customers were seen entering the banking hall to make their deposit at the counter.
When this medium approached one of the staff, he simply stated that the machine is expensive to maintain therefore they decided to convert it for withdrawal purpose.
