Intercede for others, Christians urged

 

A Cleric, Reverend Joseph Agboluaje of Second ECWA, Shao, Kwara State have charged Christians to intercede for others for a better society.
He gave the charge yesterday in a sermon delivered at the ECWA week of prayer of the women fellowship.
Speaking on the theme: “interceding for a generation without God”‎ Reverend Agboluaje called on Christians to develop the strong will of interceding for sinners.
He urged Christians  to be alive to their responsibility by living life worthy of emulation.
The Cleric urged them to repent and desist from sin and exhibit love to fellow human beings as taught by Jesus Christ.
He implored them as Christians,  to pray for the change  expected,  living a Christ like life and not to retaliate evil with evil in this corrupt society.
Also in his sermon delivered at the Queen Esther anniversary, C &S Movement Church, number 11, Ilorin, Apostle Tayo Martins Akolo encouraged members to love one another and show great passion just as Queen Esther did to her fellow Jews and saved her generation.
Apostle Akolo attributed the various vices happening in the society to lack of love among the people  urging the people to care more for the less privileged.
The cleric later prayed for peace in Kwara State and the nation.
Pastor Kayode Omotosho of C. A. C Anu Sogo lorimi, Kilanko, Ilorin emphasised need for Christians to be shinning example to others.
The General Overseer of the Ark of God Covenant Faith Blble Ministry, Amayo, Pastor Aremu Abioye called on Christians to abide by God’s will and worship Him wholeheartedly.
Also in his sermon as part of activities marking this year`s  men anniversary of the New Life Holy Trinity Chapel, Gaa-Akanbi, Ilorin, Pastor Idowu Constain advised men as the head of the family to exhibit good deeds to sustain the existing harmonious  situation in the society.
Pastor Taiye Aransiola of United Evangelical Miracle Church, off Yidi road, Ilorin who spoke on the topic “obedience better than sacrifice” charged Christians to be committed and walk in obedience to the word of God to eat the good of the land.
