APC youth goes spiritual

 

With the local government elections in Kwara State slated for Nov. 18 fast approaching, some youth groups in the All Progressives Congress (APC) has gone spiritual.
While the various political parties have embarked on massive campaigning, on the part of Ilorin West APC Coordinator’s Forum, they have chosen to seek the intervention of God towards securing victory for the party.
Speaking with newsmen after a prayer session held at its secretariat in Baboko area of the metropolis, the association’s president Comrade AbdulKareem Elegede described the prayer specially dedicated towards the forthcoming local government elections as necessary.
Elegede used the opportunity to admonish the electorate to eschew violence and vote selling, adding that all APC members should to go all out and ensure the party comes out victorious in the polls.
Meanwhile, the association has sworn in new executives to pilot its affairs for one year.
The new executives have Alhaja Elegede as President, Yusuf Abdulsalam, Vice President and Bolaji Lukman as the Secretary.
Others include, Akeem Lawal, Laaro Ismail, AbdulGaniyu Akogun, Adeniran Adesola, Tunde Oba-wakansi, Tajudeen Onisawo, Abdullahi Ishola, Zikirullai Sidiq, Lukman Saad, Augo Abdullateef, Ayo Ajia and Mallam Suru.
