LG Poll: Afe Babalola, Rafiu Ibrahim, Funke Adedoyin, others  storm Osi for Yinka Dallas, tomorrow

 

The fortunes of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the local government election slated for November 18 in Kwara State, Comrade Yinka Dallas got a boast with the endorsement of his candidature by the founder of Afe Babalola University (ABUAD), Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state, Aare Afe Babalola (SAN).
Babalola’s endorsement is among the numerous high ranking personalities that has supported Dallas candidature from within and outside the state.
According to the legal luminary cum educationist who was speaking in Ekiti State when the APC local government chairmanship candidate paid him a courtesy visit recently, “Dallas is a focused, dedicated and result oriented young man.”
He added that “Dallas to me is like a son, the story of ABUAD can never be complete without mentioning Yinka Dallas’s unquantifiable contribution.
“I congratulate his people, they will surely get good governance under him”..
Meanwhile with the Friday official flag-off of the chairmanship campaign of Comrade Yinka Dallas in Osi, the Ekiti LG headquarters, the list of dignitaries billed to storm the town which cut across the political, business, organised labour and filmmaker among others has continued to rise.
Those expected at the Friday rally it was gathered included Aare Afe Babalola, Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Rafiu Ibrahim, his House of Representatives counterpart Hon. Funke Adedoyin among other parliamentarians.
It was also gathered that all former council chairmen of the local government, former House of Assembly members and all former office holders will also be on ground to witness the ceremony.
Also, not less than nine APC chairmanship flag bearers of Ifelodun, Oyun, Isin, Moro, East, Irepodun Oke-Ero, Offa, Ilorin West and Ilorin East have all signified interest to attend the rally.
Speaking with Pilot Politics last night, Dallas reiterated his commitment to serve the people, adding that he is determined to be an added value to grassroots administration in the state, especially for the people of the council in line with the ideals of the APC if elected.
Speaking further on the preparation for the rally, Chairman of Dallas Independent Campaign Organisation (DICO), Comrade Olalekan Lawal promised the presence of crème-de-la-creme from the student and youth movement, Nollywood, academics, musicians, businessmen among others.
“The popular Yoruba actor Don Richards will be leading more than seven of his colleagues to add colour to the event and so many other movers and shakers of the society, all storming Osi to honour Dallas” he submitted.
