Sobi FM Queens wins 2nd 5-Aside female tourney

 

Sobi FM Queens defeated Trade Union Congress (TUC) 1-0 to emerge the champion of the second edition of Five-A-side female soccer competition.
Imuran Rofiat scored the only scored of the keenly contested game played at the Kwara State Stadium complex, Ilorin.
The two sides displayed good soccer artistry, as the first half ended goalless.
On resumption, the Sobi Queens showed their superiority over their counterparts, scoring the lone goal to win the competition.
At the end of the tournament, Imuran Rofiat from Sobi FM won the most valuable player of the tournament.
Kolapo Aminat emerged the highest goal scorer, Oni Bukola of Sobi FM won the best goalkeeper while Abdulrahaman Bashirat of TUC is the best behaved player of the tournament.
Sportspro Queens defeated Nana Ayishat Lady 3-2 to claim the third place trophy.
Speaking after the tournament, the TUC Chairman Comerade Olumo Kolawole thanked the organiser for keeping the girls away from social devices.
Also speaking, the General Manager of Sobi FM, Mr. Segun Adeniji praised the girls for doing the station proud.
The tournament is being organised by Pro-games Sports Promotion.
