‘Be prayerful for country to overcome challenges’

 

Nigerians have again been charged to be prayerful and move closer to God for the country to overcome its present challenges.

A Cleric, Special Apostle Prophet Segun Korode gave the charge today in his sermon delivered at the 57th anniversary of Shiloh Band, Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Ilorin District Headquarters.

Prophet Korode, who spoke on the topic “Be righteous,” implored the people to exhibit the fear of God in all their dealings and undertakings.

The Cleric noted that if people fear God they would not engage in various vices and corruption that is preponderant in the country.

He called on Nigerians to be dedicated, disciplined, committed and pray for God to redeem the nation.

Prophet Korode urged Christians to repent from their sin, desist from atrocities and be committed to their faith.

Speaking on the theme “Gratitude”, Pastor Taiye Aransiola of the United Evangelical Miracle Church, off Yidi road, Ilorin, called on Christians to always appreciate God for His mercy and not to take for granted His goodness to mankind.

Pastor Aransiola challenged them to emulate King David by praising God and testifying to His goodness to the congregations.

Pastor Aremu Abioye of the Ark of God Covenant Faith Blble Ministry, Amoyo, urged Nigerians regardless of their religion to love their neighbours and assist the less privileged.

Speaking at this year`s Daniel Band anniversary at the C & S Movement Church, Ipetu-Igbomina, Prophet Peter Oladipo called on faithfuls to live by the word of God always and do away with sin.

Also in his message which centered on ‘Be filled with the Holy spirit,’ Pastor Kayode Omotosho of C. A. C Anusogo lorimi, Kilanko village, implored Christians to allow the spirit of God guide them in whatever they do to further preach Jesus Christ in their lives.
